CEO Dr. Jeffrey Le Benger Named to 2018 NJBIZ Power 100 List
For the fourth consecutive year, Jeffrey Le Benger, MD, FACS, the CEO of Summit Health Management, parent company to Summit Medical Group, has been named to NJ Biz’s Power 100, and continues to seek to revolutionize outpatient health care delivery in New Jersey. Ranked 31 on the 2017 list, Dr. Le Benger is recognized as being an impactful innovator and ahead of the health care curve for many years. Dr. Le Benger has navigated SMG’s dramatic transition from a small medical practice to the largest independent multispecialty doctor network in the state with over 80 offices. SMG created partnerships in both Arizona and Oregon this past year, as well as opening new offices in Bergen County. Le Benger also is overseeing the creation of a new, state-of-the-art cancer treatment center with partner MD Anderson that is expected to open Fall 2018.
Michael Munoz, president of Amerihealth New Jersey, noted during a recent conference what truly sets Le Benger’s SMG apart from the pack is it’s the only health care system in New Jersey to engage in a full risk-payment model, the cornerstone of a true value-based health care delivery model. Among his many honors, Le Benger was named Healthcare Professional of the Year by NJBIZ in 2015, was a recipient of the MDx Medical, Inc. Patient's Choice Award and has been featured in New Jersey Family "New Jersey's Favorite Kids' Docs" and New Jersey Monthly "Top Doctors" listings.
A graduate of Brandeis University and New York Medical College, Dr. Le Benger completed his residencies in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and otolaryngology, head and neck surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He completed his fellowships with the American College of Surgery, American Rhinologic Society, and American Society of Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Le Benger is board certified in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and otolaryngology, head and neck surgery.
